    A wonderful place for a picnic with marvellous facilities.

    wonderful place for a walk or a family picnic. very peaceful atmosphere.

    Access to the dam from the Admiral Road side is limited to those with good fitness as you need to walk up a relatively steep hill and climb over or under the gate. Access from the Springfield Road side is easy as the car park is next to the top of the dam wall.

    The park closes at 5:00 during the winter months, but is open till 6:00 during the summer months.

    A nice park. It's quite popular during hot summer days as there's BBQs and shade. However the rangers have been keeping the park closed on very hot days due to the fire danger. A bit of a pity as that's when it's the most popular due to the swimming at the bottom of the dam.
